Narcissus I consume myself in this glass I have a twin whose life Entwines itself with ease I will dive into myself As if this echo was a pool Of the coolest hands I must throw a kiss at myself My eyes all the while Consummating ghosts I can see there deep within The reflection of my reflection Playing like the dream Over and over in a loop Of twisted wire and nails The shattered skin of you © David Incoll 2001 |
